Flag of Washington
The Washington state flag is unique for two reasons: it is the only flag with a green field, and it is the only flag with the image of an actual person. The state seal, George Washington's likeness, is centered on the green field. 1889 appears at the bottom rim of the seal, this being the year the seal was created by Charles Talcott.
Washington's flag is the only state flag on a field of green; an appropriate color for the evergreen state (Washington's unofficial nickname).
